Torture and Trauma-informed Approach to provide moral, social, cultural, linguistic, physical and psychological support for the Bhutanese Torture and Trauma Survivors and their families, and to document history and advocate national reconciliation.
We intend to listen, highlight, document and preserve the stories of the Bhutanese unsung heroes and their families.
We stand in solidarity with the Bhutanese political prisoners, who have been in incarceration in Bhutan for more than 3 decades, for their hearing, release, connection and reunification with their families and relatives, and advocate for national reconciliation.
We acknowledge the existence of socio-cultural and linguistic diversity within Bhutanese Nepali community and provide social and culturally appropriate services to the torture and trauma survivors and their families.
We seek and organise holistic and culturally appropriate activities to promote physical, social, and psychological health and wellbeing of Bhutanese torture and trauma affected families.
We coordinate with Bhutanese individuals and organisations and jointly organise sport and recreational activities to promote and celebrate resilience, opportunities and successes of Bhutanese elders, youths and new generations.
We support and liaise Bhutanese individuals and communities to find and access torture and trauma-informed service providers as practicable.
